Fall 2025 Volunteer Schedule: September 24th – December 12th

IMPORTANT!

• We are no longer hosting Monday afternoon (1pm-4pm) shifts at McMahon Hall, these will now be at Mercer Court
• The farm will be closed Wednesday November 26th until Saturday November 29th for fall break. We will resume shifts on Monday December 1st.
• We will host our LAST VOLUNTEER SHIFT for the 2025 season on Friday, December 12th 1-4pm.

Saturday Shift Locations:

Note: Saturday Shifts are 9am-12pm

• November 1st – Center for Urban Horticulture
• November 8th – Center for Urban Horticulture
• November 15th – Center for Urban Horticulture
• November 22nd – Center for Urban Horticulture
• November 29th – NO VOLUNTEER SHIFT
• December 6th – Center for Urban Horticulture

Sign Up Forms:

• New volunteers are required to sign up by completing Steps 1 and 2 on our Sign-Up Page.
• Returning volunteers must complete Step 1 on our Sign-Up Page prior to their first shift of each quarter.
• All volunteer shifts are walk-on. After completing forms, just show up at the location and time specified on the schedule.
• All volunteers also complete an attendance form at the beginning of each shift after arriving.

Shift Readiness:

• Arrive within the first five minutes of a shift
• Wear closed-toed, sturdy shoes and thick, heavy socks.
• Bring a hat, snack, water bottle, and weather-resistant layers of clothing.
• Be prepared to work with the farm team in all weather conditions.

Active Growing Location Descriptions:

• Mercer Court – Planned Urban farm, residential growing site between seven-story buildings and on the top of a parking garage
• Center for Urban Horticulture – Main production farm, full sun growing site, adjacent to Union Bay Natural Area
•  McMahon Hall – Rooftop Culinary Garden
