Free Public Tours at the Washington Park Arboretum are led by trained guides and focus on seasonal topics of interest and special plant collections.
First Thursday Tram Tours – 1st Thursday of each month, 11am-12pm: Sit back and enjoy the ride! Learn about our seasonal highlights new plantings Arboretum history and educational programs. The tram will offer all riders the chance to travel from the Graham Visitors Center to the Pacific Connections Garden in less time and with more comfort and allow visitors with limited mobility to see more of the Arboretum. The tram is open-air and does not have a heater but does have a roof. We will be sitting 3 across on benches 60 inches across.Space on the tram is extremely limited. Each person attending must have a seat reserved. The tram is equipped with lap-only seat belts, which all passengers are required to use throughout the ride. We cannot accommodate child restraint systems or passengers under 40 pounds (except in cases of emergency), in accordance with Washington State law. Online registration for each month’s tour will open approximately one month in advance. Reserve your seat.
Free Family Weekend Walks – Most Saturdays, January through November, 1-2:30pm: Bring the whole family for an hour and half themed walk. We will stop along the way for games, hands-on activities and learning geared toward children (2-12 years old) and their caregivers.
