Free Public Tours at the Washington Park Arboretum are led by trained guides and focus on seasonal topics of interest and special plant collections.
Free Weekend Walks – Sundays, January through November, 1-2:30pm: Tours are tailored for an adult audience, and the topic changes monthly. See the calendar below for details. Tour groups gather in front of the Graham Visitors Centerat 1pm, January through November. No preregistration necessary.
Free Family Weekend Walks – 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, February-September, 1-2:30pm: Bring the whole family for an hour and half themed walk. We will stop along the way for games, hands-on activities and learning geared toward children (2-12 years old) and their caregivers. Groups gather in front of the Graham Visitors Centerat 1:00pm, 2nd and 4th Saturdays, February-September, with a few exceptions (Check our events calendar to confirm tour dates).
Free Family Weekend Walks are provided to families on a first come first served basis; the first 30 people to check in with the instructor between 12:45 and 1pm the day of the walk will join us!
First Thursday Tram Tours – 1st Thursday of each month, 11am-12pm: Sit back and enjoy the ride! Learn about our seasonal highlights, new plantings, Arboretum history, and educational programs. The tram will offer all riders the chance to tour the gardens and allow visitors with limited mobility to see more of the Arboretum. Space on the tram is limited and each person attending must have a seat reserved. Online registration for each month’s tour will open approximately one month in advance. Reserve your seat.
