Outreach Events

There’s nothing like watching someone’s eyes light up when they look closely at a plant and discover something new and unexpected. Using microscopes, simplified plant keys, mini plant presses and other tools adapted for festival audiences, we open the eyes of children and adults to new views of the plants around them.
Join Rare Care staff and volunteers in presenting hands-on activities for all ages at occasional outreach events in the Seattle area.
How to Apply

This position becomes active when there’s a specific special project need. However, we’d be happy to hear from you at any time if you’d enjoy participating in mailing parties or outreach events. If the General Assistant position isn’t active, just send us an email.
