The Center for Urban Horticulture
NHS HALL – Northwest Horticulture Society Hall

NHS Hall serves as our main conference and reception room and opens directly onto McVay Courtyard. A great space for a variety of events including conferences, retreats, memorials, mitzvahs, auctions and wedding receptions. This room can be partitioned into three parts, via built-in air-walls, allowing room for break-out sessions. Merrill Commons may be added for an additional fee. For further details such as availability and pricing please contact the venue.

Rental Blocks

We book 4-hour daytime events ending by 4:00pm and 5-hour evening events beginning at 6:00pm.  Alternatively, you can purchase a 9-hour block of time, anytime between 7:00am and 11:00pm.  Please check with your Event Coordinator for booking options outside of these times.

OUTDOOR SPACES:

UPPER LEVEL

McVay Courtyard This central outdoor garden, is tucked between NHS and the atrium and is a natural location for a cocktail reception, guest mingling or seated reception up to 100

Merrill Commons Located adjacent to McVay, serves as a great space for a dinner/luncheon, cocktail reception, break-out session, or dance floor and is available as an add-on to a minimum rental of one section of NHS Hall

Soest Garden This beautiful and fragrant curated garden is home to more than 200 plants. At its center is a soothing fountain surrounded by landscaping that is incredible year-round

LOWER LEVEL

Guests seated at an outdoor reception inside under the trees of Goodfellow Grove

Goodfellow Grove A perfect space for an all outdoor reception. Located adjacent to the Event Lawn, this expansive grove seats up to 200 beneath its shaded rows of Service Berry trees

Large grassy lawn filled with vendor tents

Event Lawn Outdoor event space for 350 is a rare commodity in Seattle, particularly when you have parking! This expansive lawn sits adjacent to Goodfellow Grove and is the perfect space for tenting an outdoor reception, company picnics or lawn games and can be added to your rental of NHS Hall

The Meadow Sitting steps away from Goodfellow Grove lies this lovely meadow, enclosed by trees and greenery. This quiet location is a natural choice for a wedding ceremony up to 200 or private cocktail reception
