Night time is special at the Arboretum – the people and cars are gone, and the nocturnal animals move about. Night hikes are a chance for us to explore our senses, search for crepuscular and nocturnal movements in the forest and learn about night-related animal adaptations. Programs are designed for youth ages 6-12 and their caregivers.

Who: Children ages 6-12 and their caregiver(s). The maximum group is 30 people (children and adults).
When: Friday, November 7; 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Where: Washington Park Arboretum. Program will begin at the Graham Visitors Center (2300 Arboretum Dr. E Seattle)
Cost: $10.00 per person (children and adults).
Park in the Dark (for grown-ups!)
You asked, and we answered…We’re excited to offer Park in the Dark (for grown-ups!)
Park in the Dark (for grown-ups!) is based on our Park in the Dark program developed for children ages 6-12 and their caregivers. Park in the Dark (for grown-ups!) will be doing the same activities for participants 12 and up, who don’t have a younger child to attend with and/or are kids at heart.
The activities, while selected with kids in mind, can be fun for all ages. Some of them are popular among our staff when we do them as a group in staff training. For higher-level scientific content, please look at our other adult education programs.
Thanks for sharing your interest in this type of program. We look forward to seeing you there!
